I have NPM Orion through an external service provider. They’ve asked us to implement a new Orion system (stand alone front end server, and a separate stand alone DB server). The previous provider is willing to work with us to “copy over” the entire configuration (including DB) from the “old” system.
Question: generally speaking, will this work? Can we configure a new NPM (poller) and DB server an then export the entire configuration including DB (history) over to a new server? I’m not looking for specifics here, I just want to double check that this is even possible.
Obviously we’ll be procuring the necessary licenses.
